Welcome to the
Orbost Golf Club.
Enjoy an 18-hole country course on the edge of town. Established in 1906 as the Snowy River Golf Club, Orbost welcomes members and visitors.
Golf, community and a warm welcome.
Founded in 1906 as the Snowy River Golf Club, Orbost first played on private land beside the river. After several floods, the club moved to its present site, once shared with the Race Club and Show Society; it later acquired the land. The course has changed little. The pine plantations were recently removed to protect machinery and improve safety. The course is maintained by volunteers, who do an amazing job. If you want to help contribute to the maintenance of the course you will be welcomed to do so. Visitors are welcome with modest green fees. The clubhouse is open on competition days, with no meals available. Self-contained caravans may park while golfers play; there are no powered sites.
